TEM Online Total Phosphorus Analyzer
In the ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method, phosphate and phosphorus-containing compounds in water are hydrolyzed into phosphate ions under high-temperature, high-pressure, acidic conditions. Phosphorus compounds that are resistant to oxidation are further converted into phosphate ions by persulfate oxidation. The phosphate ions then react with molybdate in a strong acidic solution to form an antimony-phosphomolybdate complex, which is subsequently reduced by ascorbic acid to a blue-colored phosphomolybdate. The total phosphorus content is determined by measuring the absorbance of the resulting phosphomolybdate complex.
