TEM Online Permanganate Index Analyzer
The acidic potassium permanganate spectrophotometric method employs potassium permanganate as a strong oxidizing agent. Under specified temperature and pressure conditions, potassium permanganate oxidizes certain organic and inorganic substances in the sample. The residual potassium permanganate then reacts with a reducing agent under controlled acidity to generate a yellow-colored compound.
The permanganate index of the water sample is directly proportional to the intensity of the yellow coloration produced. By photometric measurement, the concentration value of the permanganate index in the sample can be directly obtained through colorimetric conversion.
