UVC Submersible Online COD Analyzer
Organic compounds containing conjugated double bonds or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons absorb ultraviolet (UV) light when dissolved in water. By measuring the absorbance of UV light at 254 nm, the degree of organic pollution in the water can be assessed. The “Specific UV Absorbance,” SAC254, is a physical parameter used to quantify the total organic content. An infrared light path is used as a reference to compensate for turbidity interference.
