IDO Integrated Dissolved Oxygen Sensor
The IDO Integrated Digital Dissolved Oxygen Sensor operates on the principle of luminescence quenching. When blue light excites a luminescent material on the sensor cap, it emits red light. Oxygen molecules quench this emission by absorbing energy, reducing both the intensity and the lifetime of the red light. These changes are inversely proportional to the dissolved oxygen concentration. By measuring the phase shift between the emitted red light and a reference signal, and comparing it with internal calibration values, the sensor calculates the dissolved oxygen level.
